Vocabulary

Parents,

This week we are starting vocabulary.  Students will get a new list on Monday each week that will contain sight words and vocabulary words.  Flash cards will be sent home for the vocabulary words on Monday as well.  Homework for vocabulary will consist of them practicing with the flash cards or playing different vocabulary games.  Attached to this is a list of games that can be played using the words.  You are welcome to come up with your own as well.

On Friday we will have a vocabulary test.  They will need to spell the word correctly and use it correctly in a sentence.   The test will include all of the words from the list (the sight words and vocabulary words).
