Hello Parents,
Thank you for letting me teach your wonderful children! It's only been three days of school and I can already tell I have the best class. I just wanted to contact you all by email (this will be my main form of communication) and fill you in on a couple of things.
#1) Today a green note was sent home from the office telling parents to pick up their students at the front of the school and not in front of the 3rd grade satellite. We have told our 3rd graders to walk through the school and out the front doors, and this is where they will meet you after school.
#2) Because we are out in the satellite we don't have the privilege of having a water fountain in the classroom. I have told students they can bring a water bottle from home as long as it is spill proof. If you have a water bottle to send to school, that would be great. Lines get really long after recess and lunch when you have 180 third graders wanting a drink.
#3) A lot of you signed up and have emailed me about volunteer opportunities in the classroom (THANK YOU!!!). I will be creating a volunteer schedule within the next couple of weeks to let you know when you can come in.
